Dear Edy,
I’m ready to ride. I just love it when women come into my life that have heart, humor, faith, and encouragement. When we chatted I could sense that about you. I am playing with the name GODIVA.
You know how we say “You Go Girl?” How about “You Go-DIVA!”
What if we encourage the divine, the “diva” in each person?
So Edy, I’m saying this to you first: You Go-DIVA!
When I think of DIVAS I think of a lioness. Yet, every DIVA is amazingly vulnerable, no matter how lovely and courageous she is. We all need to "Be A Lion" my go-to song from "The Wiz." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DCaqI7LqWB4
And then a mighty roar Will start the sky To cryin' But not even light'ning Will be frightening my lion And with no fear inside No need to run No need to hide You're standing strong and tall You're the bravest of them all
If on courage You must call Then just keep on tryin' And tryin' And tryin' You're a lion In your own way Be a lion (written by Michael Jackson and Diana Ross)
That said, Yes! Count me “in!” Whether I am related or not I want to know her story.
It’s hard watching my husband age. Our parents and grandparents age. I pastor a church, have been for many years. I really enjoy going to the nursing homes …there is so much to learn from our seniors. Frankly I am a better person because of all the lessons and stories they share. They inspire me and challenge me to live through the tough things in life. Because of my own husband's health I've have had to make some changes to help him.
It must have been really challenging making the decision to move Gram out of the manse away from all the things she loved. I’m glad you and your mom could do it together. I sense that the two of you empower each other.
Hope you get some time soon, I am anxious to hear about your trip to Coventry and what you discovered!
Blessings!
